About Segway® HTs

The Segway® Human Transporter (HT) is an electrically powered, 2 wheeled marvel that provides a quiet, easy-
to-use solution to short term pedestrian travel.

Resembling a futuristic push lawnmower, the Segway® HTs use technology called Dynamic Stabilization with tilt sensors and gyroscopes to perfectly balance itself and
the rider for an effortless glide.

What makes a Segway® HT go? A silent, brushless motor in the hub of each wheel takes its direction from a computer that tells each wheel when to move. It is intuitive—but not instinctive—so some basic training is offered to learn the basic moves. Waist high handlebars with a left-hand grip offer support and the ability to turn left, right, or 360° on a dime. Leaning forward makes the Segway® HT move faster—up to 12 miles per hour on a straightaway. Leaning backward slows it down or stops it. It's as simple as that!

Wherever a pedestrian can go, a Segway® HT can go.
